Spiritual Phenomenon of Badrinath

Mythological Call of Badrinath

River Alaknanda that surrounds the site of Badrinath is said to be amongst the divine streams of River Ganges and it is also believed that Pandavas during their period of exile walked through the grounds of Badrinath to make their way towards heaven.

Beside that Panch Badri temple, Yog Dhyan Badri, Bhavishtya Badri, Adi Badri and Vriddha Badri are amongst the most important temples of Badrinath.

Adi Sankara and Badrinath
Adi Sankara who is believed to have visited the site during the call of 9th century is responsible for reviving the core of Hinduism. Adi Sankara during his visit revealed Saligram statue of Lord Badrinarayan and it is said that a discovery of that figurine was an important landmark in terms of relishing the glory of Char dham.

It is believed that Adi Sankara is very much responsible for initialing a journey of Char Dham which later became a manifesto of Hindu religion in terms of performing pilgrimage.

By train- the nearest railway station to Badrinath is Rishikesh railway station which is located at a distance of around 300 km from here.

By road- traveler will get ample of bus services from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh to reach here.
