Mythological Call of Badrinath

Adi Sankara and Badrinath
Adi
Sankara who is believed to have visited the site during the call of 9th
century is responsible for reviving the core of Hinduism. Adi Sankara during
his visit revealed Saligram statue of Lord Badrinarayan and it is said that a
discovery of that figurine was an important landmark in terms of relishing the
glory of Char dham.
It
is believed that Adi Sankara is very much responsible for initialing a journey
of Char Dham which later became a manifesto of Hindu religion in terms of
performing pilgrimage.
