Adi Sankara and Badrinath

Adi Sankara who is believed to have visited the site during the call of 9^th century is responsible for reviving the core of Hinduism. Adi Sankara during his visit revealed Saligram statue of Lord Badrinarayan and it is said that a discovery of that figurine was an important landmark in terms of relishing the glory of Char dham.

It is believed that Adi Sankara is very much responsible for initialing a journey of Char Dham which later became a manifesto of Hindu religion in terms of performing pilgrimage.
